 ENTREPRENEURSHIP

Integrity

We are honest, fair, and ethical in our business practices.

Excellence

We deliver excellent products through efficiency, innovation, and quality.

Empowerment

We equip our suppliers, processors, and communities with resources and skills to stimulate positive change.

OUR VALUES

OUR MISSION

To foster the development of enterprises and livelihoods, while increasing living standards and market inclusion of rural communities in northern Ghana.

OUR VISION

To beautify the world by providing high-quality shea raw products and to empower the women behind shea products through socially impactful and enterprising activities that improve the lives of communities.

empowering women

Empowering women also means building their entrepreneurial skills, confidence, and sense of ownership. Mybodytree supports more than 2,000 women to not only improve their livelihoods but also protect their voices and interests through cooperative groups.

WHO WE ARE

Mybodytree is a vibrant business that procures shea kernels and processes shea butter from northern Ghana to export to international markets. We are based in Washington, D.C., and operate in the Upper West Region of Ghana.

Mybodytree partners with cooperatives of women shea producers, address their challenges, and improve their productivity. We value women’s contributions and dedicate our resources to empowering them. We pre-finance their activities, provide training and equipment, and guarantee storage and markets for their products.

Mybodytree creates jobs by hiring more than 100 women in our semi-automated, semi-artisanal shea butter processing plant. Our plant eliminates the need for menial work and boosts efficiency, while maintaining the detail, quality, and artisanal touch of the women of northern Ghana.

Empowering women also means building their entrepreneurial skills, confidence, and sense of ownership. Mybodytree supports more than 2,000 women to not only improve their livelihoods but also protect their voices and interests through cooperative groups.
